Getting Started

Yooca: Your Life is free to play and live now on PC and Mac. Here's how to get in, and what happens in your first session — so you leave it with a pet, a home, a job, and your first real-world coupon.

Install & launch

Yooca runs through the Xsolla Game Launcher, which keeps the game patched and up to date. It's a free download — no credit card, no purchase required.

  • Platforms: PC (Windows) and Mac are live today (Early Access launched 24 June 2026).
  • Mobile: iOS and Android are planned for Q4 2026.
  • Price: Free to play. Optional purchases exist (Younit packs, YouniDollars, cosmetics, a planned Battle Pass), but the whole core game is free — and real-world coupons can only be earned, never bought.
  • Sign in: with Google or Facebook, then you're dropped into the living city with other real players.

Create your avatar

Pick male or female and you'll get a randomly generated character. Don't like it? Re-roll for another, or jump into the full customisation suite — which stays available any time after onboarding. The goal is to get you playing fast, with deep customisation waiting whenever you want it.

Your first session

Onboarding is tightly guided at the start, then opens up. Here's the path it walks you through — a hands-on tour of Yooca's core loops:

  1. Adopt your Yooca Pet. At the Yooca Pet Centre, a baby Yooca chooses you. Every Yooca starts as the same undifferentiated baby form — what species it becomes is your call later. You name it. See Yooca Pets.
  2. Move into your Basic Studio. Your first home — free. Your Yooca settles into a cardboard box until you can afford it a real bed. See Your Home.
  3. Run your first delivery. A job for 300 Younits teaches the core earn loop (and that holding Shift to run costs vitals). See Ways to Earn Younits.
  4. Buy your pet a bed. Ten beds on offer, you can afford three — your first lesson in meaningful, aspirational pricing.
  5. Learn the basics of staying alive. Sleep to recover Energy, shower, use the bathroom, and microwave some ramen to handle Hunger and Thirst. See Vitals & Traits.
  6. Pick a role. The Job Board offers Karting, Cycling, Fishing, and Delivery to start — choose one and run a loop. See Roles & Skills.
  7. Meet a brand. Claim a free virtual Starbucks coffee and take your first spin on a coupon wheel for a chance at a real reward. See Real Rewards.
  8. Take a selfie. A 1,000-Younit job sends you to snap a selfie at the Fun Fair ferris wheel and post it to Yoogram (Yooca's in-game Instagram). See Social & YooPass.

It all carries forward. Everything you do in onboarding — your pet, home, Younits, progress — stays with you in the full game. There's no reset.

Keeping your character going

Yooca is a life sim, so your character has needs. Six vitals — Hunger, Thirst, Energy, Hygiene, Bladder, and Happiness — drain as you play and are topped up by eating, drinking, sleeping, showering, and socialising. Energy is the one to watch: it's what limits how much you can earn in a session, which is why a comfy home and good food matter. Full details in Vitals & Traits.

Founding Citizen status

Yooca launched on 24 June 2026. During the launch window, new players can lock in Founding Citizen status — a permanent title plus milestone rewards that drop to all Founding Citizens as the community grows. See Progression & Goals.
